Hey Lovelies

After the stress of a long and busy week, having a facial is really important, pamper yourself by recreating a spa session with the soft music and cucumber water in hand note that recreating a spa treatment helps you to relax the more because your subconscious would be in syn with your environment. A good facial always start with cleansing your face gently in an upward manner, after all the process a facial would leave your skin shinning, fresh and beautiful.

Hello World

Here is a  list of items you would require for a facial:

1. Hair Clip

2. Gentle Face Cleanser

3. A Bowl Or  A Sink

4. Towel

5. Steaming Hot Water

6. Exfoliating Scrub

7. A Facial Mask According To Your Skin Type

8. Cucumber Slices

9. Facial Moisturizer

Steps On How To Carry Out A Facial

Step 1: Start by pulling your hair back from your face using hairpins or hairbands to secure your hair firmly so your forehead is completely exposed this way your entire face will benefit from the facial.

Step 2: Wash your face with a gently and well trusted cleanser this gets your facial to a great start after which wash your face with warm water and pat it dry with a soft towel. Make sure there are no traces of make-up left on your face. You can also try rubbing olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil or jojoba oil on your skin then wipe it away using moistened towel then rinse your face with warm water and pat dry.

Step 3: Next step is to mix up the facial scrub or you can use already made facial scrub, remember that a good exfoliating scrub should contain sugar as natural sugar helps in getting rid of dead skin cell.

Step 4: Next is to gently Exfoliate your face, do this in a soft circular motion do this all over your face from your T-zone down to your nose and to your ears. Instead of pressing your skin let the scrub work.

Note that if you don’t want to use a scrub there are other exfoliating techniques like dry brush ( purchase the brush made of fine fibers and designed for the face and body, start with a completely dry face and then brush your face using circular motion), exfoliating cloth or an application of an acid exfoliant such as glycolic acid (allow the glycolic acid sit on your skin for five minutes before rinsing) Do not combine two methods at a go because over exfoliating can damage your skin.

See the post on tips on how to exfoliate your face

Step 5: After leaving the scrub in for a while then you rinse using warm water, this leaves your face fresh. after rinsing pat dry to get ready for the next step

Step 6: While your pores are still moist and open from the steam treatment, apply a facial mask to draw out all impurities. Note that the type of facial mask to use depends majorly on your skin type, you can either make it yourself or buy a peel off mask from the stop.

Relax by lying down and allowing the mask sit in for about 15 minutes while you relax fixing in two slice of cool cucumbers on your shut eyes so the mask would not sip in. Once it sits for 15 minutes rinse off properly and pat dry with a soft towel.

Step 7: After you’ve rinsed off the facial mask then apply your favorite moisturizing cream and let it fully absorb into your skin to keep your skin glowing long after your facial is complete.

Other things to note:

Add mint or lemon in the steaming water to maintain a refreshing feel in which process your sinuses would also be clear.

Ladies with dry skin should use gel mask or cream mask and ladies with oily skin  can try mud mask or clay mask.

After Removing the mask neatly you can splash your face with water or submerge your face in a bowl with cold water.

I hope from this steps you would be able to give yourself a facial at home. Remember if you don’t take care of yourself who will?
