Last week I was at a natural hair salon with my friend who happens to be a naturalista (am not by the way), I saw a lot of women come in and out with medium length healthy looking locks but there was this woman that had a complaint. It turns out she has been using the salon for a year now hence she started growing her natural hair at this same period. What upset this lady was the imbalanced nature of her hair rather than grow her hair seems to be loose and stunted.
As is typical she blamed the stylist and told her she wasn’t doing her job right, Now I said a lot of women with healthy hair walked through those doors that’s to show that the fault was definitely not the stylist. One typical mistake a lot of women with natural hair make is the fact that they think since they don’t add any chemicals on their hair it would grow healthy and strong without breaking, Wrong!!! Your hair is your hair and if you don’t take proper care of it, feed it and add moisture then whether its relaxed or natural it would break, shed and damage and that where tea rinse comes in.
Tea rinse is a remedy for shedding, it also nurtures and adds moisture to your hair. Tea rinse also strengthens and promotes hair growth here is what you need to do;
- Brew two cups of strong tea in a bowl.
- Wash your hair with shampoo.
- Rinse your hair with the brewed tea.
- Then Follow with a deep conditioner (Tea can have drying properties).
You can use, green tea, black tea, rosemary or nettle they all have different results so you can try them differently but one important thing is the fact that they are good for your natural hair.[mashshare text="This is my custom share text"]
