Hey Divas,

Wedding ceremonies serve several purposes and they are often a cherished moment in a couple’s history. A wedding ceremony is often utilized as a public display of the marriage vows and of the couple entering into the marital contract.

Marriage is a big, colorful and intriguing part of the Yoruba culture. It is not a new thing that Yoruba’s are lovers of colours. In fact, in all the Nigerian tribes, they are one of the tribes that embrace colours the most. Their traditional marriage is seen to be colourful and elaborate and we always love it. Yoruba’s are associated with their love to show off their rich cultural heritage.

It was a thing of joy and happiness for the families and friends of Bimbo who is the face behind TifaraMakeovers when she said her traditional wedding vows in a simple but elegant traditional engagement to Akin.

Opting for the colour that signifies purity, Bimbo and Akin were dressed in white aso oke traditional attires by Shadiat Alasooke. As a lover of make up, Bimbo glammed herself up whilst holding on to a beautiful embellished green peacock feathers fan by Camaka Bespoke Pieces.

Bimbo and Akin’s traditional wedding was planned by Plume Perfection Events and photography was done by Lypix Studios.
