Hey Divas,

All over the world people celebrate through ceremony, with many ceremonies having cultural or religious significance. Ceremonies are filled with ritual. A ceremony allows us to acknowledge a transition or a rite of passage – a new beginning or sometimes, as a conclusion to an event in our lives. Ceremonies can motivate us, stimulate our emotions and prompt memories. The positive effects of ceremony are universal across civilisations and are neither specific, to age or gender.

It’s another Thursday; the weather is a bit dreary, yet cool and in Nigeria Thursday’s has been taken to be the official Traditional marriage day, leaving the Friday free for more preparations against the Saturday-white Wedding ceremony which is why we bring to you Jennifer and Folusho’s Yoruba traditional wedding that happened in the big city of Lagos.

It was a beautiful scenery of love, excitement and merriments as family, friends and myriad of well wishers gather to celebrate the sealing of a beautiful love story of Jennifer and Folusho.

Dressed in traditional aso oke, light skinned Jennifer wore an embellished silver aso oke with strip carton brown aso oke gele and ipele. Handsome Folusho also wore matching carton brown aso oke sokoto abd buba with matching agbada.
