There are different types of Gele styles but there are some that are just “CLASSIC” and that’s what we are about to share with you but first here’s a few tips you need to be able to make the best of your gele.
- The fabric you use to tie your Gele is very important; for normal wedding guest they have to rely on what was sold to them but if you are a bride-to-be or you happen to want to make your own choice of fabric then you must ensure that your pick is thick and firm instead of soft. Thick fabric’s are best as they can be used to create several styles and they would stay firm throughout the whole day. Good thick fabric includes Damask, Aso-Oke, Jubilee…
- The patterns and texture of the Gele is another important thing to note; If you are wedding guest you might stick to plain looking Gele’s if you don’t want to look too flashy but if you are a celebrant or family of the celebrant, make no mistake; you cannot do the ‘ordinary’ you have to make sure that your Gele fabric is popping.
- Finally you have to think of your comfort- its important to project how long you can withstand the Gele. If you want to wear it for a long time but you are not comfortable with tying it on your ear them make sure you do one of this two things; tie it outside your ear or have cotton-wool and plaster on your ear.
