Corns on feet can be super irritating, especially on a lady. These are the five tips to get rid of corns on feet;
1. Use of pumice stone: To get rid of corns of feet with this, soak your feet in comfortably hot water for ten minutes before going to bed, so as to soften the hard skin. Gently scrub the affected area for three to five minutes with pumice stone, pat dry your feet, dip a cotton ball in castor oil and place it on the corn. Secure it with tape and leave it on overnight. Remove the bandage and apply castor oil several times the next day.
2. Baking soda usage: This natural exfoliating agent will help get rid of the dead skin covering the corn, which in turn helps the healing process. To use this, mix one teaspoon of baking soda, a little lemon juice and water to make a paste. Apply carefully, only on the affected area, cover it with a bandage and leave it on overnight. The next morning, rinse off the paste with lukewarm water and then exfoliate gently with a pumice stone.
3. White vinegar: The high acidity level of white vinegar helps soften the hard skin. Mix one part white vinegar with three parts water before going to bed. Dab this diluted vinegar onto the corn. Cover the area with an adhesive bandage and leave it on overnight. Exfoliate the thickened skin with a pumice stone or emery board the next morning and moisturize with some olive or coconut oil.
4. Garlic: The antibacterial and anti-fungal properties of garlic helps prevent infection; rub half of a garlic clove on the corn, allow the skin to dry, cover with a bandage and leave it on overnight. Remove the bandage and wash your feet with warm water the next morning.
5. Lemon: This is another good home remedy for corns on your feet. The citrus acid in lemon works to soften the hardened skin that makes up the corn, so it eventually falls out. Thus, mix one teaspoon of Brewer’s yeast with a little lemon juice to make a thick paste. Slather the paste onto the corn, cover with a bandage, and leave it on overnight.
