They say “Age is nothing but a number” and stars like Ireti Doyle, Grace Egbagbe, Betty Irabor, Ita-Giwa and of course Shaffy Bello (and many more) have proved time and time again that they are aging with grace and elegance. Style never grows old instead it evolves and that’s something that we can all attest to.
Typically young female Nigerians believed at one point that only stars abroad (hollywood precisely) could look good at a certain age, due to cosmetic surgery, loose styles or access to dietricians. Somehow we believed that our weather, religion, traditions and general economic conditions wouldn’t create the ageless evolution that we required and it didn’t help that most prominent women in politics & business and the social-spher (with the exception of Ita-Giwa) weren’t the perfect role models when it came to keeping fit and looking glam.
All that has changed faster than we can spell CHANGE… From the senate all the way to the movie/entertainment industry women have decided that its time to look elegant because age is nothing but a number. To celebrate this change we are crushing on Shaffy Bello, Nollywood’s sweetheart. We all remember Shaffy from the music video of the then hit 1997 single “Love me jeje” in which she sang alongside Seyo Sodinmu, she was sultry, graceful and very feminine.
Shaffy Bello has not changed, even though the actress has aged, her grace can be seen in the way she moves, speaks and dress and we are definitely here for her dress sense. The star proves to us that your style can stay intact and age has nothing to do with it:
