African prints are so beautiful and if you are in diaspora right now, getting ready for summer then this post is for you too. Sometimes when I look at the African print it makes me wonder at the beauty and the thought of creating more interesting and gorgeous pieces from an already fantastic fabric, the best part is I am mostly never disappointed at what I see, because many new-school designers understand what this fashion climate needs and deserves and they bring a lot of fabulousity with every collection.
One such fabulousity is the Ankara headwrap; made simply by cutting a specific measurement and seawing all ends neatly, the headwrap are usually made from fine AFRICAN print cloth and then wrapped around the head in different ways. They are perfect for a bad hair day, they are useful when you just want to look totally different and they give off a certain African Princess vibe.
Our culture and heritage lie’s strongly around the African print fabric and that’s why we always have creative ways to use the fabric…
