What if someone told you about a way to make more money, boost your salary or make higher returns without changing the effort and hours you put into work would that interest you? Would you try it? According to a recent study by the New York magazine research has shown that the little tweak needed is increasing the amount of time you sleep.
So many other studies have shown that sleep has a lot of benefits that include; heightening alertness to improving memory but this new research is quite surprising because it shows a link to those that sleep longer and those that have higher salaries.
This most likely sounds far fetched, nut lets give it a trial, read it and allow it sink in, here’s the surprising yet simple thing to do to boost your salary;
The economist who carried out this research, Jerry Shrader and Matthew Gibson, asked people to detail how the designate their sleep town. What they found out was that 1 additional hour of sleep in a week increased wages by 4.9% over the course of the entire year. You might wonder, 4.9% sounds really small and insignificant but according to writer Tanya Basu it adds up. She pointed out that “A person who earns $50,000 a year that’s a bonus of $2450 at the year end for an extra 12 minutes sleep per work day”
What all this actually translates to is the fact that you should not underestimate the power of restorative sleep literally. So if you are stressed, feeling sleepy or unproductive the key to a sharper mind and alertness would be a quick nape or a longer nights rest.
