Even in this age of high-tech living, wedding is still considered important to many people around the world. Most of the religious sectors view it as a necessary and sacred undertaking in order to adhere to their basic teachings.
Christianity for example, has many wedding ceremonies that are practiced in every nation that believes in it. Muslims have their own traditions and practices also in celebrating wedding events. Although polygamous lifestyle is allowed by them, wedding is still an important event in the life of a Muslim believer.
For Olufunmilayo and Ibukun, they’ve seen the importance of wedding and marriage over the years, so they also went ahead and took the great step of getting married they had a beautiful all blue traditional wedding.
Dressed in blue aso oke by TemTop Afrique Aso oke and styled by Simi Lawrence, Olufunmilayo and Ibukun were dressed in the traditional Yoruba attires for their traditional wedding with Funmi going for the trending embellished iro and bubu with matching embellished gele. Ibukun was also dressed in matching agbada, bubu and sokoto.
Glammed up by Mary Gee Beauty, Funmi was the highlight of her traditional wedding with a bold and elegant make up. The couple wore accessorised beads made by the bride, Funmi. It was fun and laughter for Olufunmilayo and Ibukun as they were joined by family and friends at their traditional wedding.
