Marriage is one of the oldest institutions among the Yoruba tribe, it marks the end and the beginning of a new era between two different individuals, who agreed to live together, and through their union creates everlasting friendship between homes of their birth.
Marriage is seen as an important culture among the Yoruba people. A woman who is single at a marriageable age is seen as a crownless woman. Husbands are seen as crowns and a single lady is seen as incomplete without her crown. Another reason why marriage is seen as an essential practice is that Nigerians love and cherish children.
For Abiola and Toyeeb, their union was the beginning of life-long friendship for their families as they got married traditionally in a beautiful event with friends and well-wishers.
Planned by Lateetoh Events and Gifts, Abiola was glammed up in a popping make up by Tints make up pro in two outfits; the traditional white iro and buba with yellow embellishment and yellow gele with matching ipele. Her second outfit, a creation of the bride herself, was a cape mermaid fur dress with blue gele.
Toyeeb too went for the two Yoruba traditional outfits with his bride with an all white attire with yellow cap and all blue outfit, the same shade with his wife’s.
